Kenmojr Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 I have a few JADA diecasts that are reported to be 1/24th scale but when compared to my other 1/24 diecasts and 1/24 - 1/25 scale plastic kit models, they appear to be much too big. There are a few other manufacturers which seem to have this issue, but most are JADA. Anyone know what scale these JADA diecasts really are? Thanks kindly
Gramps46 Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 (edited) I have a few JADA and they vary in scale unfortunately. The 2 Cadillacs and the 1964 Chevy station wagon are close to 1/24. However, the late model racing Corvettes and Porsches are large and most of them have huge wheels. Some folks have called them box scale, i.e. fill the box. Edited June 11, 2024 by Gramps46 1
oldcarfan Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 They are more of the fit the box scale, and their proportions tend to be cartoonish. Some are decent, but a lot are really odd. I bought a few to fill gaps in my collection, but ended up hating them. I measured a couple that the length was about 1/24th and the width was closer to 1/22nd. The wheels and wheelwells were around 1/20th. 1
spencer1984 Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 The smallest "1/24" I've encountered from Jada is their ~1/30 Optimus Prime Western Star, while the largest was their ~1/19 Jurassic Park Jeep.
