mk11 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 (edited) One for C-body fans... A very scarce '69 Monaco 500 ragtop. Even had a Superlight up front. Dodge flipped the script north of the line; in the US, the Polaras had the convertible. Edited December 7, 2024 by mk11 3

mk11 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) GM Canada's Maple Leaf truck. Made from the 30's to the early 50's. Interesting thing about the Beaumonts and Acadians was that the trim pieces were usually chrome castings vs the chevy's stamped aluminum pieces. I've been picking away at a '68 conversion and now that Canuck3d is making conversion sets for these Beaumonts maybe I'll finally get one done Edited January 3 by mk11 5
37 caddy Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I remember growing up and seeing the canadian model cars and i was not impressed at all by them,i thought the "american" cars were so much better looking. In eastern canada where i lived there was never much in the line of fancy cars,a lot of old stogy 4 doors and the like, times were pretty tough here then. harveyb

1972coronet Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I've mentioned these models before, but they're worth mentioning again : 1971-1972 Swinger Special 340. They were built in May '71 and again in May '72 for a couple of western Canada dealerships via special order ; they were batch-built . Here's an FJ6 Green Go example - still with its original owner ! And a GB5 blue '72 , owned by / restored by my friend Cliff (Edmonton) 5

I don't think Beaumont made the little truck. Someone cobbled it from a Chevy. 68 had separate headlight bezels as well, 69 had the headlights surrounded by a single bezel 2
