Edward H. Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 Hello, Name is Ed. Just joined the forum. Figured i would drop by and introduce myself. I started building models when i was a kid in the 80s. Got pretty serious throughout my teens. Wrote a couple build articles back in the day when Scale Auto Enthusiast and Fine Scale modeler were the only ways to get your car modeling fix... lol... Fell away from the hobby for a long while, got married had a couple kids and found model building again being stuck at home during the pandemic... Not sure if that is a blessing or curse! Found myself becoming obsessed with plastic kits again... Well here I am. My builds mainly revolve around film and television cars and hot rods. Hoping to pick up a few new tips and tricks and perhaps share a few along the way!

The last article I did was back in 1999-2000. It was an article on converting the old Lincoln Futura Kit into the 60s Batmobile. I dont have a scan of it but if you have any back issues of SAE, you may have it. Its not the most accurate 60s Batmobile, but for a 17 year old with limited reference material, i was proud of it! There were a few things i chose to leave off at the time as i just didnt have a good way to scratch build or recreate them. Always planned to revisit it but 24 years later, it is still in the same state... lol... Too many other projects! 1
