iamsuperdan Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 So if you haven't seen, there's an OBS Build off down in the Community Builds section. As there's no deadline to finish, I might actually get this one done! This is one part of the project I have planned. Starting life as the old AMT 454SS kit. I like that this is molded in that grey/white plastic and not black. I started by shaving off all of the moldings from the sides and front bumper. Then I cut out the rear wheel arches, as my tires will be significantly wider than stock. The fronts fit just fine. I little more shaping and cleanup required, but the wheels fit now. And had to mock up a couple of things. Looking good, but a long way to go. 6
Can-Con Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Looks like you're off to a great start, Dan. What's the engine?

Mattilacken Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Cool build mate! Love the wheels and engine choice!
mrm Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Pretty cool. I am a big fan of unconventional powertrains in hot rods. I was just reading an old magazine (from 2012) about a '54 Buick by Troy Trepanier that is powered by a supercharged AMG V8. I'm also working on the reissued AMT Dually right now.
Mattilacken Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 O now i remember that you are putting a MB V2 in it!! Super cool! do you want a set of headlight bezels for it, I can send you some since i have printed a bunch extra.

Plus, I think you already sent me some files for these trucks! I should revisit those and see if I can use them. And I plan on doing some work on this one over the weekend. Finally! Last time I left it, I had painted the engine, and enlarged the hole in the firewall so that it fits.
