Zombieland Escalade

Finally got this one built! I had picked it up sometime around the movie's release, having seen it in theaters more than once, but never got around to building it until now. My only regret is waiting this long, Revell did an amazing job with it! As always, any comments/criticisms are welcome.

The front corner was banged up by separating the hood and then heating the plastic. A few greebles were stuck under the hood to fake an engine, since out of the box there's nothing behind the grille until you get to the firewall. Wheels came from AMT's Escalade EXT, and the plow is a pair of stretchers from MPC's Jeep kit. Everything else body-wise was straight from the kit.

Revell only provides three-row seating with middle buckets, but Tallahassee's Caddy had a bench seat and no third row. I combined the kit's buckets with part of the rear bench from a Welly Chevy Avalanche to get the correct seat pattern and crests.

With the third row gone, I had room for some zombie hunting gear, a duffel, jumper cables, a gas can, a second spare tire (also from the AMT kit), and some tools.

Despite being a curbside, the chassis is worthy of attention. Separate front and rear suspension, separate exhaust, and some truly first-rate detail work. I didn't make any changes, just painted and weathered what was there.
