Chuck Most Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 AMT kit built as a representation of a couple of "homemade" dually conversions I remember from years ago. The rear fenders from a Sportside were grafted to the Fleetside bed, and it was capped off with a modified topper from the AMT '63 F100. Wheels are from the AMT C3500, front tires are from a Moebius '68 F250, and rear tires are from a Moebius '72 F250 4x4. The rest of the model is basically out of the box. Paint is Krylon Tidal Blue with Testors Dullcote. 16
espo Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Great looking HD Truck. I also remember seeing many dually conversion trucks years ago before manufacturers started offering them. The weathering is realistic looking, and the camper and camper mirrors are perfect.
stavanzer Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 Excellent Conversion. I remember seeing truck like this, back out in Farm Country. Always Homemade, always dirty. Yours Hit the nail on the Head. Good Show.
leafsprings Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 Nice dually, like the color, tires and roof lights. GM was close to getting a dually to the market for '72.
ksnow Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Nice build. Love the homemade look. Seen a few of those around. Some much better than others.
ncbuckeye67 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Excellent build of a unique subject! You never see a dually of that year.

bogger44 Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Very kewl Chevy, Chuck. Love the conversion. That color looks like a shade that would have been available back then.
XYHARRY Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Nice conversion there Chuck, well done. Cheers, David. ??
