Sadly we found out today that Cobra Colors has closed.

I emailed Leon and here's an excerpt of his reply:

"I had to close due to a sudden responsibility I have to take on which won't permit me the time necessary to continue to operate and develop Cobra Colors. I closed once before under similar circumstances and came back so I've learned to never say never, but for now I have no idea if or when that might be."

I hope that Leon is able to get back to Cobra Colors at some point. His product and service were incredible. I will really, badly miss Cobra Colors

Cheers and good luck to Leon, I hope he can get back to it whenever, if ever possible. I'd rather be sad that he chose to shut down, vs. what happens to paying customers when an aftermarket company gets behind and doesn't fulfill their obligations nor communicate with them, which is far too common these days.

I was going to place an order last night and decided to wait until this morning and do it from work, a lot faster connection. When I went on I found out it was closed and am regretting not ordering the paint last week like I first intended to do. Leon was great to deal with and the turn around time was phenominal, there are few with his dedication to the customer.

Does anyone know where to get some Ferrari and Lamborgini paint? I have about 10 kits that I need factory type paint for from foreign car makers.

I wish Leon the best of luck and hope that he can and will return.

Sad day indeed. He is not just a paint supplier, but a true friend. He went thru this once before, so I hope he can find the time to come back later. I certainly wish him the very best in whatever his next projects are.

Thanks,

This is a sad day indeed. Hope everything works out for him so he can possibly get cobra colors back up and running.

That sucks. I have four bottles for various projects, but there were other colors I put off ordering because of the modelling slump. Oh well, hope everything works out for Leon, he's one of the good guys!

Sad news indeed! Not only a supplier to our hobby but a very good builder and contributor to the hobby as well.

As Bob quoted Leon, "Never say never" and let's hope circumstances allow him to return sooner rather than later.

I had hopes to start using his product soon but will wait patiently and consider other sources in the meantime.
