MPC Californian Toronado with some changes

Here's a kit that I have been wanting to make some changes to. Didn't care for the front "beak" so I dechromed it, cut off the headlights and sanded the beak down flatter. The red roof gills needed to be covered up. Glued them in and filled with putty and sanded and puttied and sanded. Cut out some side opera windows. Cut out the rear panel, added a fill in piece and used the "stock" taillight that was included on the chrome tree, had to shorten it to fit. Added some leaf springs to the rear axle. Wire wheels are from the spare parts box. Paint is Testors rattlecan Gold Extreme Lacquer, with fabric tan interior. Let me know what you think about the changes, good or bad.

Great looking paint color and finish. The changes to the body styling look far better than what the kit provided.

Again, much nicer looking & a great improvement on the original design.  I have to admit that I'm usually a fan of gold paint on a lot of cars, but this gold color & paint look great & is perfect for this car with the interior color.  Very nice!
