Jürgen M. Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 (edited) Hi Folks, my newest project has come to an end! The color scheme was my idea but the Globe brewery really existed, maybe still exists and the ads on the trailer are original Arrow Beer ads from the early 1960s. That's one of the reasons I chose the 352 Pete, since this was one of the versions it was built in back then! Hope you enjoy it! Most of it is self designed and printed. Parts not printed are: tires, mirror frames, air lines, fuel tank steps and quarter fenders! Edited November 1, 2024 by Jürgen M. 4
Biggu Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Take a well earned bow my friend! What a cool project and almost completely ‘ home made’, a LOT of engineering and smarts went into this build…. The Thermo King looks great ! Very impressive. You have a one of a kind unique piece. I’m impressed. Great job !! Jeff
Jürgen M. Posted November 1, 2024 Author Posted November 1, 2024 Thanks very much Jeff! Nice of you to say that! The engineering part is, to me, the most exciting part. Of course it's fun to print and build and see how it turns out but drawing it all and putting it together virtually is just great fun! Here are some pics of the 3D drawings: 1
Jürgen M. Posted November 1, 2024 Author Posted November 1, 2024 (edited) Made some pics to compare my printed 352 with my Pacemaker! As you can see, the Pacemaker Chassis has a slight twist to the left! Edited November 1, 2024 by Jürgen M. 3
BK9300 Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Once again, another great project completed, Jurgen! looking forward to your next project. 1
Jürgen M. Posted November 2, 2024 Author Posted November 2, 2024 (edited) Thanks very much everyone! I actually will have to take a break since I don't have anymore space to put my models! I'll have to finally begin the show case. But I'll keep watching your builds of course! Edited November 2, 2024 by Jürgen M. 1
RoninUtah Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Incredible build, that turned out beautifully! Very realistic and accurate, and a unique version of this classic truck. Very well done; if mine turns out half as good I’ll be happy! 1
Jürgen M. Posted November 2, 2024 Author Posted November 2, 2024 Thanks very much Ron! But believing that yours might turn out only half as good is pure understatement! What you do is fantastic and your knowledge of trucks is far beyond mine! That's why I very much appreciate your words. I didn't think it was that realistic and accurate but If a pro like you says that, I'm willing to believe it! ? Honestly, I never thought it would turn out accurate. I took measure from my Pacemaker for the cab and the rest was my "standard" chassis and engine. 1
Rockford Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 The fact that it happily stands next to the Pacemaker shows just how well you've done on this job. Looks great! Your chassis isn't twisted! Looking forward to the next job. 1
Jürgen M. Posted November 10, 2024 Author Posted November 10, 2024 Thank you Steve! That's one of the advantages of printing, the chassis is always straight! Maybe AMT should start putting printed parts into the kits? 1
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Nice job! I like daycab cabovers! I like the single headlights too! 1
