I live in Arizona,  we don't mess with springing ahead or falling back. 

But I did sleep in an extra hour this morning .

Years ago they did a Provincial referendum here and 97% said to pick one and stick with it, but like every government operation NOTHING has happened and apparently we have to wait for California to do it first …….. Huh? Makes no sense to me ….. we are 700 miles North of California ………….

Just split the difference between the two and only move the clocks back 1/2 hour and lock it in there year-round.

Like north Korea ! Dead serious here - those rascals are 1/2 an hour ahead of South Korea.

Should be DST year-round, period, full-stop. Bain't that it makes any difference messing around with that asinine time change rubbish - this ain't the early 1900's for cryin' in the rain ! 

I love that olde timey arguments for keeping that archaic, pre-electricity, pre-motorised/automated farm & implement equipment "Standard" Time :

- "Kids'll go to school when it's dark !" I suppose that they'll be coming home in the dark instead.

- " My roosters' eggs'll spoil !" 

- "You'll gain an hour of sleep in the autumn !" Yeah... one night's worth... 

Arizona tossed that garbage ages ago. When I was there in Feb. 2024 , I noticed a difference by their keeping DST year round. BIG difference.

Time change drove me nutz back when I was still gainfully employed. I ran an initiative for manufacturing plants around the world and it was tough to keep track of when setting up meetings. 

There were the places that didn’t do the clock change like Puerto Rico and China. The Puerto Ricans would complain we were setting meetings for their lunchtime! The Chinese never complained! They’d come to meetings at 3am if someone scheduled it.

Europe participated but several weeks off. So you had to keep track of that too. And Outlook calendar nearly blew up on us!

My alarm clock is likely 25 years old, it is self-aware. It sets the correct time all by itself somehow. 

I had to set the 3 kitchen appliance clocks, haven't done the 2 cars yet. You'd figure they would be able to do that on their own.

I miss the old analogue time/date setups in early 1980s vehicles - the more complex the better :
"Here's how to change / setup the date/ time in your 1984 Mercury Lynx... 
"Press the hour button with your left index finger while pulling the parking brake lever. Now you have the hour...
"To change the minute, press the minute button with your right index finger while stimulating your vas deferens..
"Now it's time for the mm/dd/yyyy setup. With your left foot touching the ground while the driver door is ajar..."
