Occasionally we run into Williamsburg and pass by this little gem. It's a neat attention getter for a restaurant on Second street. Today I told Wifey to get a picture of it for me. I thought it might inspire someone on this forum to do something cool with that Chevy Van kit that's been malingering on their shelf for years. If anyone wants more detailed photos, I can get some on my next trip out there.

It's a lot of work but do-able.  I dunno, maybe if I can find a suitable kit....

This type of body and structure work has been in favor off and on for many years. This one looks to be one of the best finishes and paint work I can recall seeing in a long time. You're right about being an inspiration for a build.

With that short wheelbase and high center of mass and the aerodynamics of a shed, I bet it's "entertaining" to drive at speed on a windy day.

I don't think it gets driven much, Bill, it's just a eye-catcher. It's always there any time we go by for years. Maybe we should stop in for lunch one day. 🤔

I thought the running boards was kinda neat, the way it bridges the gap between the flairs. I've been trying to think of something to do with a '38 Ford panel truck kit....🙂

I cringe when I see what appears to have been a perfectly good '56 Chevy Wagon mutilated in such a way. The only two Chevrolets I really appreciate are the '56 (any body style) and the 65 Chevelle SS, I've owned both and kick myself for letting them go.
