Jürgen M. Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Hi everyone, it's finally finished! After I had over done the truck and changed it from a not even mediocre RV to a better looking tanker I felt obliged to add a trailer! To make a long story short, here it is: Enjoy! Thanks to everyone who followed the build and for all the great feedback and thanks to everyone who drops in Here to have a look! 6
Pete68 Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Jürgen very nice finish and unique rig. It looks like it could be rolling on the Roads of Canada or Alaska to me. Your hard work and labor paid off Congratulations on your build. 1
Jürgen M. Posted December 19, 2024 Author Posted December 19, 2024 Thanks very much! Glad to hear that it's authentic. Haven't been across the Atlantic for a very long time! You live in Alaska? 1
Biggu Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I totally agree with Lee, it sure looks the part, and a HUGE departure from the camper... WAY better.... take a bow ! 1
Jürgen M. Posted December 19, 2024 Author Posted December 19, 2024 Thanks Jeff! I wasn't really satisfied with the camper either! It did have a few nice details but it looked a bit .... ! Otherwise I would have never changed it! I'm really happy about it now and I appreciate your great feedback! 2
Rockford Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 That's really something you can be proud of Jürgen, it's unique. Great work. Each new build just gets better as you build on what you've learnt. It's obviously the future. 2
Jim B Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Great looking truck & trailer, Jürgen. This would be right at home in Southern California. Well done. 2
leafsprings Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 The hard work and dedication to details on this tanker really stands out, a classy piece of equipment. The paint scheme and wheel choice is top notch! 1
BK9300 Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Excellent refurbish on your Pete and a great addition with the tanker trailer - you've done yourself proud here, for sure! 1
Jürgen M. Posted December 20, 2024 Author Posted December 20, 2024 Thanks very much everyone! I am proud of this build but even more of your feedback. 1
Bronzekeg Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 enjoyed watching the build and it turned out great Jurgen!! 1 1

RoninUtah Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 I love how this turned out! It looks completely authentic- ready to pull in to a gas station and refill the underground tanks. I especially like how that trailer turned out- a perfect match for the truck.Well done! 1
Jürgen M. Posted December 21, 2024 Author Posted December 21, 2024 Thanks Ron! Nice to hear your words. I really appreciate it!
Jürgen M. Posted December 21, 2024 Author Posted December 21, 2024 Now my work space is cleared and ready for my next project! I'll be building my show case now and hope I can begin "showing off" some models in it soon! I guess sometime around end of January I can slowly start building the next truck! Don't know how long it will take to get the glass doors and shelves done. I'm having those made by a company near by!
Jürgen M. Posted December 23, 2024 Author Posted December 23, 2024 Since I posted this one in "WIP" I might as well complete this thread with a last pic of the new bumper! I am, by the way, aware of the fact that not all details are authentic for a tanker truck such as the high stacks for example. Still I will leave it that way cause that's the way I imagined it before I started! Thanks all again for following and for your great feedback. Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄🧑🎄
