Matt87 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 (edited) Im really happy with how this turned out. Also i know the car Elvira drove in the movie was actually a 59 but Monogram used there 58 kit. So i did remove the 58 trim off the doors and T Bird emblems off of the fenders. I added model car garage T Bird emblems on the doors which 59 T Birds have as well as the chrome trim with BMF and since her car has the custom spider web grill piece that covers the 58 grill that did not matter. Although the 58s tailights are slightly different than 59 but it still has 58 tailights. Aftermarket parts i used. A Morgan auto pre wired distributor. Morgan battery cables. Detail master carb linkage. Scratchbuilt ignition coil. Slixx oil filter decal. Gofer gauge decals in dash. Scratchbuilt valve stems. Scratchbuilt floor mats. Embossing powder for carpeting. BMF for all tbe chrome trim. The leopard print decals for interior thankfully were in good shape but were a little brittle. I am glad i found the later release of this kit plus bonus of figure of Elvira. I bought kit from modelcarsandmore out of Nebraska. Used Tamiya gloss black for the body paint. Being a Monogram kit the fits were great and great detail. It was alot of fun. After watching movie in the fall i wanted to find the model kit. Elvira is a cool classy attractive lady and so is her car. I think Elvira herself would be happy with this. Edited December 21, 2024 by Matt87 6
espo Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Great looking movie car. The interior seems to attract the eye. Well-built ride. 1
