Keef Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 I work in a graphics and sign shop and have access to a lot of pretty cool stuff so I started a garage for photos of finished builds and WIPs. 2’x2’ piece of 6mm PVC sheet with black and white checkered vinyl laid on top. Walls are 1/2” foam board. Opposite side of base has “used concrete “ printed vinyl laid on it since I can’t decide which side I like best. Can reverse it and use either side since I made 2 post lift base removable. It will grow and change as I find and acquire more scale items for it. 3
BK9300 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Very cool - do you think you’ll add any doors or windows along the way?

Will probably add some windows at a later date. Just trying to mock things up and get a solid direction for where I want to go with it. I may also add a second floor/ catwalk area at a later time. 1
TonyK Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 This looks great. I assume you printed the used concrete/checker floor yourself? Have looked for this type of floor but can never find something decent.

Have looked for this type of floor but can never find something decent. I work at a sign and vinyl graphics company. I told one of our art designers what I was doing and what I wanted and she knocked it out of the park. It’s actually printed vinyl applied to 6mm PVC sheet.
Rudy Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I like where this is going. I need to build a place to take pics and was looking for some ideas. Thanks for sharing! 1
bobss396 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 This is how we built them as kids using heavy coat boxes. We either cut out 1 or 2 sides. Windows were cut out, frames made with construction paper. They were a lot of fun. 1
Keef Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 Ya know how sometimes if 1 is good then 2 must be better? Yeah I did a thing again 🤣😂 1
slusher Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Nice Keith, I have been working on a small garage I need to work on the inside put up stuff on the walls and I have everything else..
Bills72sj Posted January 12 Posted January 12 You are going to have fun with this. I know I did with mine. 2
bobss396 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I need to get one going, but it will have to be able to be stored in a banker's box, no bigger than 11" x 17". Maybe I'll start off small and see where it goes.
ewetwo Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) Mine is not to scale and kind of crude. I built it just to do photos hoping people would pay more attention to the car. LOL! I never sunk my lift into the floor because I move it from side to side in the shop layout. And the windows are plexiglass with cut outs from a magazine to make a view. Edited January 12 by ewetwo 4
