dino246gt Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Does Mobius make a stock version of the '65 Nova post car? Do they plan to? I used the gasser stuff on another build but have all the stock body, chrome and "glass", no chassis or interior. I'd like to build a stock entry level '65.
Mark Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I would guess "no" based on how they have handled the Plymouth and Dodge sedans. With those, they came close to stock but did not include showroom stock interior parts (the front seats in those kits are van units, not offered in cars except for the lightweight racing versions).

Mark Posted January 15 Posted January 15 That's the SS hardtop, it's bucket seat interior wasn't available in the sedan. The door panels might match those of the more high-end sedan, but you’d still need to find a bench seat for the front

(I'm lying on the couch with a broken leg in a cast, doing theoretical modeling)
Mark Posted January 15 Posted January 15 The wagon front seat is molded as part of the bucket. And, being a four-door piece, the seat back doesn't have the split down the center. The AMT '66 Nova with the Bill Jenkins drag version does include a bench front seat, as his two '66 Novas were not SS trim. 2
Mark C. Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I was holding out for a stock 2-door sedan as well, but if it doesn’t happen I might have to get 3 kits to make one (six and partial interior from the wagon, chassis and partial interior from the hardtop), plus steel wheels and dog dish caps from Fireball Modelworks (have to check for correctness). That would run me over $150 Canadian, but there would be plenty of spare parts left over for some future creative uses. Lots of projects that motivate me more in the queue ahead of it, so it may not happen at all. We’ll see what the next couple of years bring along… 1

I am do that now i used the 65 body and chrome from the gasser kit and the guts from the 64-stock kit that was before they said they are doing the 65 kit but I wanted the bar base and I took the front seat from the AMT wagon and got a 3-D printed Chevy 4-cyl the 153 in the sport version it all comes together with a little cutting and sanding. 1

I took a screenshot of your recipe, thanks. Projects that one feels like generally get done.
Ron Hamilton Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I had some bench seat sets from the AMT 66 Nova cast in resin for a two door Sedan project. I also have a LS engine, and a resin cowl hood, and a AMT 66 Nova Pro Street Chassis for the project. I've been watching too much Iron Resurrection.
Ragtop Man Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I wouldn't wait for a kit if you have the parts to build it now. They might do a post sedan some time, but the whole idea of the series is to be able to move key features around from one subject to the next. I'd love to score one of the 3D-printed 151 4-cylinder engines to stab into the base post 2-door, the dead rock bottom stripper of the line.
