From 1970 - 1978 Dodge do Brazil build a Charger that was based on the fourth generation Dodge Dart. The Brazilian Dart gained a two door hardtop version in 1970. This version was so popular the Chrysler decided to build a more sportier version the Dodge Charger. It differers from its Dart brother with a full width front grille, a stretched C-Pillar that mimics flying buttresses and rear fender stripes. Until 1975 Charger LS thad a 3 speed transmission and a 208 hp 318cui LA V8, while the R/T had a 4 speed transmission and a 215 hp 318cui LA V8. In 1976 the LS was dropped and only the R/T were available. DonW Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I got as far as knowing it was some sort of Dodge Dart spinoff but couldn't get the specifics!
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I've never seen one of these in the flesh, but knew Brazil built cars on the Mopar "A" body. An image search for "Brazilian Mopar A body" brought this car right up.
