slusher Posted February 12 Posted February 12 sometimes we have to make a change to get it where want Bill! 1
Bullybeef Posted February 12 Author Posted February 12 Im gonna do some easy work now, the interior! Modified the Amt seat belts so they are not twins but rather mirrored ( something that has always bothered me when I see them). I’ll be using the 40 ford dash and steering wheel from the 5w kit as I think they look so much better than the stock stuff. I’ll still have to dig through my stash and find a shifter. I’ll make the interior as “Deluxe” as possible 5
Bullybeef Posted February 12 Author Posted February 12 (edited) First thing to do is swap in a floor section from the 5W coupe as it has provisions for three pedals. I cut the back section off the 3W floor plate and did the same for the 5W a little switcherooo and we now have a better floor with a larger hump to accept the bigger trans as well. I’m also using the firewall section so that I can close in the interior and have some nice trim aka pleated fabric as well. The rough work is done now so it’s time to go ahead and add some details. Pedals, shifter lever and an ebrake handle as that seems to be deleted from most hot rods. Stay tuned! Edited February 12 by Bullybeef 2

It did anyway 😔 Well, I started with a shade of orange so I was kinda glad when it went white but now there's this "cow lick" on the right rear quarter that just will not lay down. It's embarrassing 😒. It had been extremely thick and wavy and grew like dandelions in June. I'm glad that's over with! Why are we talking about hair? 🤷
TopherMcGinnis Posted February 14 Posted February 14 I think we hijacked the post 😳 Back to cool car stuff! 1

bobss396 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 I like the old AMT seat belts. I thin them out from the back quite a bit. In the old figure-8 cars I'm doing, I paint the webbing olive drab, as lots of stock cars used army surplus belts. 2
