Thank you David, but a new pair of engine mounts is a way faster soloution for me. And after staring at it for some time I had felt the engine was sitting rather too high.

Are you going to use/make a water pump riser? As it is, the fan will not even be close to the radiator center.

I’m actually going to run the fan on the generator mount.

Now that some of the bench warmers have moved off into the display case I can refocus on this build again. Time to focus on getting an exhaust system mocked in place. Currently scouring the archives for a matched pair of period correct mufflers.

The muffler shop is slow!  Hand forming all the bends and pin I g the joints is not an easy task @Dennis Lacy made it look so easy.
next up are the actual mufflers and deciding on tips, turnouts or turndowns

Slow and steady, have to fab some hangers as well. I’ll need to creates some flanges for the headers to mate to the pipe extensions before the muffler

Flanges are done, they will be thinned down some before paint, muffler hangers are the next with decision on what to do about tips, turndowns or extend all the way to the back??

Jumping around with some other make work projects while some other ideas are brewing.

Added the seatbelts to the big ole comfy couch and pulled another body from the warehouse as the one selected had some flaws I don’t really want to deal with atm. So the usual parting lines and panel seams were cleaned up.

I love that seat, Bil. It looks like it belongs in a horse-drawn coach.

Thanks Jim, it’s actually the stock seat for I believe a deluxe trim! The big comfy couch for sure!

Had to mock it all up again to make sure I’m not getting any weird fitment issues. I’m starting to look at ideas for headlights and mounts now, a detail I usually leave til last and it frequently bits me in the butt. And after viewing @customline Jim’s last update on his 39 I may attempt brake lines( something I’ve wanted to try) we will see!

I have seen saving up those old kit seat belts. I thin them out from the back, a little paint and they look great.

I took your advice and did thin them a little, swapping the buckles so they are mirrored instead of twinned was a great improvement as well. Thanks for the tip.

Thank you Carl, I need to rip it all down again now to add more details to the chassis.

Of course it looks easy when I post finished pictures but what doesn’t show is the 4-6 hours spent getting there! 🤣

Yeah it’s quite time consuming and I think it will be worth it.

So now I’m waiting for some warmer weather so that I can get some painting primer laid down on the body parts. The forecast is below 0c for the next week or so☹️. In the meantime the friggen bench squirrel has been visiting 🐿️. And I have news that a long awaited new project will be shipping to me fairly soon.
