I am seeking advice on a model paint, ideally in aerosol, that is equivalent to Testor's discontinued Nassau Blue Metallic 28129.

This is the closest I have found is ( https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/spray-ts-plastics/ts-54-light-metallic-blue/100ml-spray-can/  or   https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/spray-ts-plastics/ts-19-metallic-blue/100ml-spray-can/) and I am hopeful other options exist that may be a bit closer.  As a note, I am not nearly as skilled as other members here and won't do a custom mix as the project is not that refined in my hands.

Do you have an airbrush? Scale Finishes has 1962 Chevrolet Code 914 Nassau Blue Metallic and 1963 Code 914 Monaco Blue Metallic (same colors. different names) lacquer paints. Other than that, you're most likely SOL.

They look way closer in the photo on my monitor than they do in real life. TS19 and TS54 are fairly close to each other, but remind me more of Marina Blue than Nassau Blue. In real life the Nassau Blue is much more silver-grey than the other two.

These were sprayed over bare white plastic spoons, no primer. If you want Nassau, you are going to have to find some somewhere, or break down and get an airbrush. Scale Finishes lacquers are pre-thinned and are as easy to spray (to me anyway) than a rattlecan. Of course, you have to clean the airbrush afterward,

I found that I have 2 1/2 cans of the Nassau Blue and they haven't blown out the bottom seam yet. I have no appetite for legally shipping hazardous materials, or I would offer some up.

Depending on how much you need, many automotive paint stores can mix and put it in an aerosol can. I recently had a can of Petty blue done and it was about $30. Tell them to give you the finer nozzle.

You might check Exact Match Car Paint Made Easy | AutomotiveTouchup  I've used them before for full size projects, a 12 oz. spray can is $28.95, they also have compatible primer and clear coat.  If I were spending that kind of money, for a single can of paint, I would go with all of the same product line, just to be on the safe side.

You might be able to get pints mixed locally for less than Automotive Touchup wants for their pints then spray it through an airbrush.  For models, I have got away with using the brush in bottle touch up kits sold in most good Auto Parts stores. Just drain out of the container and thin as needed.

Nassau Blue and Daytona Blue are popular enough for muscle cars that you might find one or both in the Duplicolor line, or something for a late model with a different name but a close shade.

Thank you all for your rapid responses. Given my lack of a spray booth, air brush, and poor/developing model skills, I will likely pursue the OEM rattle can option at ~$30.

Being it’s for interior pieces, I should be able to get away without the primer or clear and still suit my needs.

Thank you all again. Great to know so my helpful members are present here.
