ShawnS Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I've had some of these for a couple of months now and I can say that they are handy items to have. If you need a quick coat of something and don't want to bother with a brush then they are a go-to tool. They have decent coverage and can be re-coated without affecting the previous coat. They are all matt finish and the colour choices are more aimed at airplane and military modellers but I hope that AK can develop these a bit more and make some more colours that are less military oriented. They aren't a magic bullet cure for anything but a very handy weapon in the arsenal. Cheers ShawnS 3
Exotics_Builder Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Got a set from Megahobby.Ā These are great, along with the DSPIAE pens.Ā Handy addition to the "paint shop" and great for some detailing.Ā The valve covers on this 409 engine were done with DSPIAE Metallic Siver.Ā I have yet to try any clear coat over any of the colors Ā
Matt Bacon Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I've got a bright red, yellow and orange, which are great for a little dot of paint on coloured switches and the like on dashboards. For that purpose, they are dense enough to work over black. My only concern is how long they'll stay working for if you don't use them very often, if the "felt tip"/brush dries out... best, M. 1
Brutalform Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 Iād most likely try the three that Luka used in the video, for starters at least. Looks like you can keep masking to a minimum, or not masking at all, since the tips seem to be fine enough to do so.Ā
