kensar Posted March 8 Posted March 8 This is the first design I created in Fusion 360 and then 3D printed. This car is from the 1980s and is one of my favorite Lambos. It's not a 100% accurate model but it's not a bad result for my first design effort and first serious 3D printing. I think the tires are a little too high in profile, but have accurate dimensions according to their specfications. Paint is from Model Car World with Krylon clearcoat. 14
Jim B Posted March 8 Posted March 8 (edited) Very nice Lamborghini. Well done. Never heard of the Jalpa. The Muria, Countach, Hurricán, yes, but not the Jalpa. Apparently, Lamborghini considers it to be their "entry-level" & "affordable" sports car. Whatever that's supposed to mean. Edited March 8 by Jim B
Ulf Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Great build, baby Lambos says a some, Uracco was another one in the bunch. They were intended precisely as entry-level cars. On the island where we have a small summer house, there are about three of them, almost a dominant amount in their segment. One of the owners told us while we refueled our respective cars that the right and left sides had different shapes, probably the three were not quite the same either. At least one of them I have ridden in , fast.
ea0863 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Absolutely beautiful, and I am jealous of your 3D printing skills! I have a built Testors Lamborghini Silhouette in 1:25th scale - which if I'm not mistaken evolved into the Jalpa.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Excellent! I have been lucky to have driven one quite a bit and it is such a good 1:1 car. I don't think I have seen a kit available from the usual kit manufacturers. 1
beeRS Posted March 15 Posted March 15 It’s great to see a Jalpa. Well done on a brilliant job. I think the tyre wall height looks just right for the 80s. It’s fantastic that 3D technology allows the builds of cars that the kit manufacturers have overlooked. 1
