Not a lot going on with the 55 fellows.  I got the chassis, engine, and floor pan assemble.  I also go some of the rear end assembled and a few parts for the front end ready to be cleaned up and painted.

I made a little headway on the 55.  Rear end has been assembled, Tires are painted Rubber Black, all parts for the wheels have been painted, and the bug catcher seem has been smoothed out and everything is in white primer.

The weather was right this morning so I fired up the spray-booth.  I was going to shoot the body in Pear White but at the last min changed my mind and went with Pure White.  I'll let this set for 24 hrs then start putting the 25 year old decals on and hope for the best.

White is a very difficult colour to lay down well, but you’ve done a very good job - hope no overspray gets on that shiny red paint job behind you!

Really nice build Bob! Your builds are really clean. Always enjoy them!

Thanks Roger.  That's the way I always saw your builds.  Either online pics or in person they looked really clean with a Super paint job.  You need to work on your YouTube page and get it up and runniing with all your nice builds.

Well...I got the decals on earlier today and I knew there may be a problem with these old decals and how long the body side decals were.  I was a chore and some of the decals just fell apart once pulled out of the water.  The long side decals were the worst and they didn't go very well but it is what it is, right guys.

This is the first time the body has been trial fitted on the finished chassis and so far so good.  I don't want to show to much right now.

I'm getting close on this one guys.  I'll let the body set for another day our two the polish it.  The oxidizers still need some detail work, a few more decals, glass, and the parachute.

Looking real good. I will say this. These kits are not for the beginner. Especially when fitting all the front bars, steering, spindles, etc. You are doing a terrific job on a kit, I would say, should be a skill level 6.

Much obliged there Tom.  Yeah, these kits are not for the faint of heart.
