mrmike Posted April 11 Posted April 11 This is my Blue Bloods ‘71 Chevelle SS 454 painted with Tamiya TS-58 Pearl Light Blue, Black interior, Cragar SS mags. The real car is an automatic and the model is 4-speed. 9
mrmike Posted April 11 Author Posted April 11 (edited) Michelle, this is the old kit with WalMart packaging and I bought it from a friend in my Model Club.. Like most AMT/MPC kits, it stinks! I had a lot of trouble with it. Thank you Michelle and Andy! Edited April 11 by mrmike
ncbuckeye67 Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Nice work &beautiful paint! I love that line of paints (the light green is especially nice!). I really wasn't a fan of the 71-72 Chevelle until watching that show (and the red & black one from Jack Reacher).
happy grumpy Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Not an easy kit, you turned it into a beautiful model. Some times, we have no other choice available for a particular subject . Personally, if it's the only game in town, I'll dive right into it and suffer the pain. The greater the pain the greater the rewards (most of the time anyway). You did a great job on this.
VanGoGo Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Looks nice, although I dont watch TV and not familiar with that particular show, back in the day I had many freinds with 70-72 Chevelles (and elCaminos), and always enjoy seeing that bodystyle, great work.
mrmike Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 Thank you EMRE, Carl, Mario and Vince! This kit was a pain in the a**, but if I had to do it all again, I would use the same kit and complain about it!
