hedotwo Posted April 14 Posted April 14 I have a few resin cars from the 50's that the dimension are off. Other than just eyeballing where the differences are, and how to go about trying to correct, does anyone know of a website that might have these types of dimensions for various makes from the '50's? Not just length, width, and height. Those are easy to find. Guessing not, but thought I'd ask. I can just trust my eyeballs between the resin bodies and real photos. Thanks!
rattle can man Posted April 14 Posted April 14 You might try finding enthusiast groups for each make/ model of car online. 1
Rodent Posted April 14 Posted April 14 (edited) Most service manuals have body dimensions (frame dimensions, door openings, etc) for collision repair, but those kind of illustrations will most likely be hard to find free online for 1950s cars. Edited April 14 by Rodent 2

SSNJim Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Here is a link to some GM Vehicle Kits Vehicle Information Kits | GM Heritage Archive | General Motors Most of them are Chevrolet, but there are others. Many of them contain measurements for unusual dimensions. I find them quite useful for GM cars. 2
bh1701 Posted April 15 Posted April 15 You might try here - some of the brochures may show dimensions, and some owners manuals can also be found with their specifications. https://www.oldcarbrochures.com/ Bart 1
rattle can man Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I belonged to a Ford Festiva enthusiast group for quite a few years. I learned a lot about my car from them. There was always someone who could point you in the right direction for whatever you needed. from brochures and owner's manuals to parts interchange to reference photos, even hot rodding them, it was all there for the asking. 1
dodgefever Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) My nearly 40 year old copy is almost falling apart, but you can find in online now. https://archive.org/details/standardcatalogo0000unse_k2c4 Edited April 18 by dodgefever
