well i finished building another of my own castings yesterday. 49 ford ute. i did a lot to make this one happen since it was originally a fiberglass body and front of it was brittle. i also found out that i couldnt superglue fiberglass to a plastic body. ended up coating it all with smear of resin to make halfs stay together.   then i put a ranger bed inside. i used the 49 for kit under it. build #621    got body 5/9/24     10.00   built 4/24/25 thanx glen damodelguy

A lot of hard work has gone into this. It’s all paid off in the end. Looks absolutely fantastic.

this came out nice.

Q: at the design phase, how did you determine the shape of the rear window, and determine the roll of the roof (side view) to meet the top of the (pickup) body?

i am attempting to do this with a Heller 1955 Renault 4 cv, and will most likely carve foam and use it as a mold to vacuum form the compound sections to tie in the cut up & reused body parts.

i'm a little stuck with the angle of the rear window panel so the join to the roof doesn't have a sharp peak.

thanks
