I'm signed in and compose a post, but when I click to post it I get instead a notice that the page cannot be found.  What is the problem?

there were some wordscausing posts to be rejected. Most seemed to be co mmand type words and need spaces or extra letters added to get the post past the issue. If it might be word used for computer commands try doing the above and see if it works. I'm not really a computer guy but this was an issue for some members fairly recently until Dave figured it out

I will try and post a very simple sentence and see what happens. Thank you.  It worked.

I then amended the wording of my original post and was able to essentially convey my original thoughts.

I had a similar problem on a British forum which kept rejecting my post for my having included the word "knob" as I had said something about a custom-made gear shift knob in the post.  I kept trying and trying until a moderator said that "knob" is a no-no word on the forum in Britian- referring to a male's reproductive organ!       I had no idea.      In Arkansas there is a town Bald Knob.

Bob, since you were obviously to create the post which start this thread, you can successfully post messages to the forum.  Les' explanation seems to be most likely cause for the error you're seeing.  This forum can be very touchy about certain words contained within the post's text.  We had a similar situation few years ago, but then the problem went away. I suspect that the more recent updates to the software running the forum re-enabled this "protection" from possible hacking.

Various online forms censor different ranges of naughty words.  On this forum if one of the naughty words is used the message will still post, but the word will be replaced with a "safe" text. I think here they use blah-blah.  You will not see "page not found" error.  The "page not found" think seems to be generated when one of the forbidden database control words is in the contents of the post.  That to me seems like a bug in the forum's software or just sloppily written code if it might allow for the words within the text of a post possibly gain control of the forum's database.

Bob, the same exact thing has happened to me several times recently.  There is no rhyme or reason that I can find.  You are not the first person that this has happened to.  I have posted on this forum for years and have never had a problem until very recently.
