I cut the backup lights out and found some clear sprue to replace them

After filing one side flat, I cut off the ends and glued them on.

I opened up the rear bumper and will extend the tail pipes to there.

Looking more like a car every day now, cheers!

Still working on the '56 but have been busy with other stuff, Summer stuff.

Only have a few more things to do to this one then I'll be on to the next project, not sure what that'll be just yet though!

One more little detail...

Ha ha, Jim, but for my NEXT project, AMT '50 Ford convert, also a period mild custom, I DID make some blue dots!

Sanded the ribs down, glued some photo-etch small circles on and filled them with clear blue, cheers!

I thought he was referring to the blacked out recesses in the side trim?

Yes, Greg is correct, Dennis, but those tail lights on that black beauty were just too nice to crop out. The lights you did for your '50 look splendid (there's a word not used often on this forum but should be 😊.)

That’s very purty!   I thing the mild customs of this era are the best, and you did this one quite well.
