Ah, the new thing is to buy mattresses online without in-person visit to a mattress store to actually lay down on them to try them out first.   Also, you couldn't vacuum pack a conventional mattress with steel springs in it. :D

I do like the concept of sideways-installed (landscape mode :D) outlets in your bedroom. You don't see this often.

We've been using high quality foam mattresses for years. They are economical, can be re-compressed for moving and are extremely comfortable. We got sick of all the showroom hype and BS and stupidly inflated costs associated with conventional mattresses. And have you tried to get someone to help you move a king size mattress? Your friends always suddenly have something else to do.

You should like yours. If there is a downside, it might be that your body weight tends to make a divot that could be difficult to roll out of, for some folks. I'm 240 lbs and I don't even notice it any more. We flip ours fairly routinely.

That reminds me of a story from the 80s. We were young and had a waterbed. Who didn't? Some older friends of ours came to spend the night and we let them sleep on our waterbed. I think we were on air mattresses. In the morning, I asked my friend how they slept. He said it was ok, but he had to hold on to the rail all night because he was afraid he'd drift out to sea. :)

Mine had to air out for 3 days to get rid of that nasty chemical smell. But it's been great so far and now my back no longer hurts when I get up in the morning.

Thin and low!  I can’t get out of a bed that low for myself..

Carl, can you expand on your statement? I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.  Are you saying that Mike's specific bed is too thin and low? It's probably just the picture that makes it look that way.

The foam mattresses in our house are just as thick as any conventional we've had. They are normal size and use normal sheets. As far as low goes, that totally depends on what height of foundation you're using. It's actually much more flexible than the old style. Ours are normal bed height.

It's a mattress Officer, I swear. Just ignore the screams. It is a smart mattress. It hates the plastic.

No officer, it's not filled with cocaine.

It's the latest material in mattress filler technology.
