FoMoCo66 Posted May 25 Posted May 25 I've always wanted one of these kits because they are my favorite car. My dad's first car is a 1966 falcon, I say is because he still has it, i was hoping to replicate it. 2
Khils Posted May 25 Posted May 25 Very Sharp "bird of prey"!! ... understandable why he still has it! 😎 2
1930fordpickup Posted May 26 Posted May 26 I agree that is a nice car. I wish you luck in finding one. Maybe 3D printed is an option.. 1
TransAmMike Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Well that's an unusual "hot rod". Very cool and great in black/red! Hope you can find one to build. 1

Funny thing, this car was originally a shade of yellow called springtime yellow with a white vinyl top and a, get this, black interior. My dad didn't touch the interior and painted the car 1996 dodge viper red and vinyl painted the top black.

I only see one and it's a 67, even though it says its a 66, its got the loovers on the side and an indent in the dash. Its also missing a lot of year specific details like the grille.

Maindrian Pace Posted May 27 Posted May 27 As you know, those are pricey kits, the rebuilders usually have the rear 1/4s hogged out for the optional drag version, and the stock hood is often missing. Another good option is to get a slightly shaggy promo model and build it. It's the same tool as the kit, the hood is separate, and the engine bay detail is still there. 1

I didn't know that the hood was separate on the promo. good to know!

Khils Posted May 29 Posted May 29 I conversed a bit with FoMoCo66 (Elliot) and I have decided to go out on a limb and invest in the future of our hobby with this rebuilder '66 Falcon. This gentleman impressed me & convinced me by being an Eagle Scout... extremely impressive & admirable in today's world. 1 1
