Belugawrx Posted June 1 Posted June 1 (edited) Rod Hall started competing in the first Baja 1000 in 1967 in a Jeep CJ-5. In 1969 he switched to a Bill Stroppe built 4X4 Bronco and won the overall trophy. After some years, the Bronco was donated to the Off Road Motorsports Hall of Fame to honor Rod's 35 class wins over the years. In 2016 Rod pulled the Bronco out of the ORMHOF and had it restored to race in the NORRA Mexican 1000..his 50th time entered in the event. ! This is a replica of that restored Bronco. I started with the Revell '66 Bronco Used alot of Joseph's (fireball model works) aftermarket parts..roll cage, wheels/tires, carb, fender flares, 4" lift kit, ..and used STS decals for the livery. Scratchbuilt everything else..jack, shovel, bush bar, engine shroud, gas tank, dash, interior panels, exhaust, high low shifter, seat belts..etc. On to the pics Life got in the way during this build and it ended up being a 4 year on and off deal, but it's done !! Here's the WIP This is the pic I remember seeing back in the early '70s in Hot Rod mag., and I knew when Revell came out with the Bronco, I had to build it. Cheers all..thanks for looking in..as always Q C+ C's are always welcome. Later Edited June 1 by Belugawrx 10
