magicmustang Posted June 7 Posted June 7 (edited) Having been impressed with Phildaupho's build of this car, I decided to try one myself. Using his WIP ( Lola T70 Mk2 1/24 scale- Under Glass - Page 3 - WIP: Model Cars - Model Cars Magazine Forum ) as a guide. Had a 1/24th Tamiya Lola T-70 Spyder slot car body, found an MPC Ford GT MKIV glue bomb chassis with interior. Pulled parts for the front and rear suspension, engine, transaxle, headers, and wheels from an MPC Gurney Eagle kit. Tires are from the parts box. Paint is Testors rattlecan Nassau Blue lacquer with Wet Look clear gloss and a coat of Future gloss. Decals are from the robbed MPC Gurney Eagle kit. Not as detailed as Phildaupho's build but happy to have a Lola T-70 in the display case. Comments welcome. Edited June 12 by magicmustang 9
1959scudetto Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Very well done Gerald, I intend to do something similar with a Tamiya 1/24 Ferrari 275 P 2 slot body using a 250 LM for poarts.

Rich Chernosky Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Pretty cool. Real nice conversion. I always considered the T-70 to be the sexiest Can-Am car. 1
Dave B Posted June 8 Posted June 8 That's a great build Gerald. I have around 5 different Tamiya slot car bodies I bought just for this purpose but I seem to be building 3D printed models instead!! Dave B 1
