I've noticed that as well with some of the paint i have. I've got a translucent white pearl from golden I want to play around with. Might be a good "mixer" to mess with.

I tried it with a yellow and did a 50/50 mix, it turns to a butter yellow pearl, it lightens up if you add enough, but nice change to drab colors.

Lol I just noticed the 1967 on the licence plate.Got it from the 67 Charger kit.

Here's close to completion 

Yes I have to tear off the carbs and sand them to make the hood fit but it's actually going pretty good.

My decals are in waiting with finishing touches hopefully tomorrow. The Cragars are from the 67 Charger kit.

I hope no glue drops or smears.

Clean looking body trim. Some additional hood clearance may be achieved by removing a little material from the underside of the Shaker where the Carb mounts as well.

I was thinking of heating up the shaker bottom enough to concave it so it sits lower

Looks like no fix to the shaker issue

I can sand and remove material but it sits on the valve covers.

It is what it is.

Lol nevermind previous gripe, I just sanded down the lid of the shaker and trimmed the vent intakes.

This is as good as I can get it , hood a touch warped.

Glad you sorted it. It’s an old kit and many things could have been better  but many of them can be corrected as well.
