I've noticed that as well with some of the paint i have. I've got a translucent white pearl from golden I want to play around with. Might be a good "mixer" to mess with.

I tried it with a yellow and did a 50/50 mix, it turns to a butter yellow pearl, it lightens up if you add enough, but nice change to drab colors. 1
Valvefloat Posted July 20 Author Posted July 20 I did a bit of detailing today, just haven't had time to commit more. 2
Valvefloat Posted Friday at 02:43 AM Author Posted Friday at 02:43 AM Finally the grille is complete. 1
Dragline Posted Friday at 03:06 AM Posted Friday at 03:06 AM Are you going for Sassy Grass green? You are very close. Needs more yellow I believe.

johnyrotten Posted Friday at 10:43 AM Posted Friday at 10:43 AM Coming together nicely. The license plate would make for some interesting questions. Easy enough fix.

Valvefloat Posted yesterday at 02:56 AM Author Posted yesterday at 02:56 AM Here's close to completion Yes I have to tear off the carbs and sand them to make the hood fit but it's actually going pretty good. My decals are in waiting with finishing touches hopefully tomorrow. The Cragars are from the 67 Charger kit. I hope no glue drops or smears. 1
Mattilacken Posted yesterday at 07:22 AM Posted yesterday at 07:22 AM Nice progress! Interesting how different our two builds look
johnyrotten Posted yesterday at 09:35 AM Posted yesterday at 09:35 AM Clean looking 'Cuda. The stance and cragars look perfect 👍👍
espo Posted yesterday at 04:19 PM Posted yesterday at 04:19 PM Clean looking body trim. Some additional hood clearance may be achieved by removing a little material from the underside of the Shaker where the Carb mounts as well.

I was thinking of heating up the shaker bottom enough to concave it so it sits lower 1
Valvefloat Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago Looks like no fix to the shaker issue I can sand and remove material but it sits on the valve covers. It is what it is. 1
Valvefloat Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago Lol nevermind previous gripe, I just sanded down the lid of the shaker and trimmed the vent intakes. This is as good as I can get it , hood a touch warped. Dear Revell, do better. 1 1
Dragline Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Looking great. Any plans for the sides? A stripe or billboard?

Mattilacken Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Glad you sorted it. It’s an old kit and many things could have been better but many of them can be corrected as well.
