I don't know if this should be under drag racing builds or not, but since it's really more of a street car, here it is.

I've been in and out of building for the last few years but wanted to get the juices flowing again. I think this might have been the first model kit I ever built when I was a kid. I thought it would be fun to build it again with a little more attention to detail. Nothing fancy, everything out of the box. I did a little bodywork on the hood to blend in the scoop stuff. Didn't manage to get all of the scratches out though, oh well. Tamiya black over wet sanded primer with no clear. The decals gave me a lot of trouble even with microsol but it's good enough. Trim is done with Molotow though I think I need some fresh markers. I hit the kit chrome parts with Tamiya Smoke. I used Revell's chrome spray for the first time on the headers and sidepipes and I am IMPRESSED! Shot over Tamiya gloss black with no polishing in between. The tires are from the parts box, scuffed and hit with dull coat. The interior is too bright of a red but its what I had. I could have done better but think I did the kit justice in regards to its simplicity. Guess I forgot to paint the inside of the tailpipes but that's a quick job. I've got plans to do a '67 GTO in this same style using another of these kits to get there, that'll be fun! Thanks for looking.

Great looking paint finish and like the flames. Good body fit with the font end.

I think that's the best build of this kit I've seen so far! Good move on your tire choice! The kit's tires didn't look quite right IMO and ruined the stance. Yours just tie everything together and make the car look real! Sweet build!!!👍
