Jon Haigwood Posted Tuesday at 04:59 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:59 PM Building a 1//8th scale T Bucket and I want the script on the tailgate and radiator housing white. Any tips on the best way to do this ? Than You
sidcharles Posted Tuesday at 05:15 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:15 PM mechanical pencil new eraser or Amazon.com : STAEDTLER Mars Plastic Eraser Pack Of 3 Plastic Mini, White : Office Products the latter would be able to pad print the logo in one fell swoop i would use acrylic paint so if corrections need making, it would be less invasive to the base coat. Vallejo Model Color a hundred brands & colors you could choose. maybe not try to cover in 1 coat, just strive for sharp edges. practice first. patience lasts. clearcoat after.
NOBLNG Posted Tuesday at 08:08 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:08 PM Is the kit molded in white? I just recently read a thread on here about tires made from white styrene? where they were painted and then the paint wiped off of the raised letters. That might work?, especially if you are using acrylic paint.

Mark Posted Tuesday at 08:55 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:55 PM If the car's base color is black, red, or some other dark color or earth tone, better make sure the white paint is one that covers well (like One-Shot pinstriping enamel)...
JollySipper Posted Tuesday at 11:30 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:30 PM If you know someone with a Cricut cutter, they might could make that out of very thin vinyl for you........ Just have them make a few in case you need extras. 1
Radretireddad Posted Tuesday at 11:54 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:54 PM Prime the tailgate in whatever color you want the lettering to be and color coat over it with the body color. When it dries, lightly sand or scrape the top coat away on the raised script to reveal the color underneath. That’s what I did here. 2
