Greetings fellow  builders,,just clearing the bench  of this,, the  #AMT  1/16th   Nomad,,great ol school kit  for sure.  There were some fit issues with the interior  bucket+ dash setup,,but Mr dremmel took care of it.   Overall a fun kit to shelf up,,,I used  rattlecan Tamiya spray   TS-41 for the body,, and seagreen for interior.  Hand painted testors  bottle for the rest.  Added some basic wiring+ plumbing,,nothing too crazy.  Fun kit from back in the day.  Thanks for looking  and build on!

Great looking paint and trim. Like the engine and under hood detailing.

Why thank you sir!,,  I used to use BMF for the trim,,but I like the crispness of hand painted  trim instead.  It takes  awhile  to tape off but its worth it. I really like the Tamiya paints,,very well behaved paint,,doesnt run or get wierd  as long as the body prep is 100%,   sand .,wash dry ect.  enjoy your works as well,,thanks for lookin!!

Very nice-looking build. Some unique color placements.

Thanks Dan,,its probably not a stock Chevy color,,but it looks good.  I like to use "compliment"  colors on the cars.  Rock on!

This is also one of my favorites and lends itself to all sorts of mods.  My next might be an El Camino conversion.  You made  a great color choice.

Thanks all,,Yea I really like Nomads,,way cool body design.  Your Elky  sounds fun.   This kit is a bit tricky,,for some reason the interior  bucket  was too long  with  the way  the directions said to mount  the dash,,so I ended up having to  mount the dash  to the body 1st,,and place the interior bucket after.  So thats where mr dremmel came in,,had to trim the bucket  underneath the dash to get it to fit right.  I also made larger mounting brackets for the side pipes,,and made scratch built connector pipes for the sidepipes.   And the aircleaner riser is scratch built also. Just  had to have that aircleaner poppin out of that hood!.   Thanks for lookin
