thebavarian Posted August 14 Posted August 14 The first rally car that landed on my bench. The model is from Nunu in 1:24 scale. I installed the original Nunu accessory kit with etched parts, safety belts and a small aluminum turned part. The decals are from Reji, as decals with cigarette advertising are banned in Germany. Although the kit represents a vehicle from the Olympus Rally, I really wanted Walter Röhrl's version. The fit of the kit was great, the etched parts enhance some areas (e.g. windshield wipers, mud flaps, etc.) very well. The decals, both from the kit and purchased from Reji Liesen, work well. They only didn't fit perfectly are the three-color stripes on the rear side windows. In addition, they are not completely opaque, which can be clearly seen from the starting numbers on the side. The colors are from Zero Paints and are therefore original HB colors. 7
PatW Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Superb! Just as I saw them on stages as a rally marshal in the day! 1
TonyK Posted August 16 Posted August 16 That car wasn't pleasing to the eye but you did a great job on the model. Very sharp! 1
1959 Posted Tuesday at 06:59 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:59 PM Great model from the greatest era of rallying! Well done! As a kid I watched probably 30 times VHS-tape from 1985 WRC season and remember well the Monte Carlo rally and how one of our country's legendary drivers, Ari Vatanen, won the race and Rohrl was second. 1
