TransAmMike Posted yesterday at 12:41 AM Posted yesterday at 12:41 AM I'm looking for the front wheels on the '57 pictured. I think Comp Resins had them but they are now out of business. Anyone have a source? I've exhausted my search. Thanks, Mike
Fat Brian Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM 3d Scale Parts sells those on ebay but they're pretty overpriced at nearly $20 a pair. The model is also for sale on Cults3d if you know someone who could print it.
johnyrotten Posted yesterday at 01:26 AM Posted yesterday at 01:26 AM I picked these up off of ebay. 1
TECHMAN Posted yesterday at 02:39 AM Posted yesterday at 02:39 AM (edited) MIKE Not certain about how many other kits they are in, but the AMT Double Dragster kit comes with them, and they are chrome...... DJ Edited yesterday at 04:16 AM by TECHMAN additional info 1
bytownshaker Posted yesterday at 04:10 AM Posted yesterday at 04:10 AM Those front wheels are in the AMT Piranha kit. 2
rattle can man Posted yesterday at 04:46 AM Posted yesterday at 04:46 AM The Slingster has a similar set. It has spoke and wire front wheel options. I just used my set on a funny car, otherwise I'd offer them up.
Straightliner59 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I'd go with any of the AMT kits mentioned, above. Especially the Double Dragster, because it's a gold mine! 1
Fat Brian Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago It should be noted that all the old AMT wheels are spindle mounts and the ones OP asked about are flange/lug nut mounted. This may or may not matter but it's worth pointing out. 3

It’s also worth noting that all of the spindlemount wheels found in AMT kits (Fiat “Double Dragster”, “Piranha”, ‘32 Ford Vicky, and ‘56 Ford Vicky) are classic American Racing 12-spoke wheels, whereas the ones in question are contemporary 10-spoke wheels to acommodate the 5-bolt mounting pattern. Aside from 3D Scale Parts, Mean Machine Models offers them in 1:24 scale: https://www.meanmachinemodels.com/p/1-24-syqf8w/
presnell Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Mike if you decide to use the spindle mount I have a set you can have.
