Same here. The ultra-shiny and clean wheels and tires look a little out of place... like the guy always washed and waxed the wheels but never touched the rest of the truck! But great work on the weathering.

Gotta go with the crowd Dude, The wheels an tires are TOO pretty/clean to go with the rest of it. Dirty them rascals up a tad an you'll be good ta go! GREAT weathering job, looks real! I like it! Has the Cranky one seen this yet? :D;)

Beautiful job! I think you guys have missed the point on the "clean" wheels. I see this quite often nowadays at cruise-ins, I think its called "Resto-Rat", Lol! A lot of guys are taking rustbuckets and driving them around with new wheels/running gear, but ratty interiors and the "perfect patina". I saw a '50 Buick last year that was like this, but had a new set of 19" Torque Thrusts on it! Very cool! I like it!

Looks like "SANFORD AND SON" - except for the "NEW" wheels and tires.

Boy does that statement date me :D

Great show! That dates me too, but at least TV shows were worth watching back then, not like the garbage they put out today!

That makes 3 of us! LOL. You got that right Tommy!

I get it hillbilly. Now the clean tires make sense, lol.

I think the combination of "patina" sheetmetal and clean, new running gear looks really cool, always have. Here in SoCal this style of build is pretty common and when done right makes for a reliable, yet carefree hot rod that you can drive anywhere with no fear of breaking down or getting scratched.

Awesome looking F-1!

Hey there, John, man, I really like the way this one turned out . . .and it's perfect in terms of its believable uses . . . it's a daily driver, a shop parts carrier, and a resto-in-progress. I think you did a great job on making the paint look reaslitically weathered.

I hope to see more . . . obviously you are not just going to build one of these in your career as a modeler, so get started on the next one.

CONGRATULATIONS, buddy.
