Thats my quandary

Im not 100% happy with it as is

But not dissatisfied enough to pull it apart.

I bought it with about a half dozen other old MPC pro stock / drag cars builders off ebay about 10-12 years ago.

He listed a bunch of builtups. And I bought all the Mopars and the Schartman Comet

None are perfect ....most are ......OK

The SM duster is the worst. The Comet is the best one

Notice the backwards leaning lettering on the Barracuda.  MPC made the lettering for both sides exactly the same, meaning it is wrong for one side.  The Missile project involved a few ex-Ramchargers personnel; like their cars, the Missile lettering should lean forward at the top on both sides!

That kit is unpainted I think( been some time since ive had it in my hands)

It really needs redone

The Missle Duster is poorly painted flat black.

So both will get redone someday...... soon I hope

I have slixx decals for them all. When the time comes

Apologies for the hijack

As a lover of survivors, I think they are all pretty cool as they are! Cool collection.

Are the Butch Leal mags the correct ones for the actual car? And are they the same that came in the kit?

Tripped over a bagged orange plastic Leal Duster prior to turn of the miilenia and it has just been sitting, it was missing wheels and tires and have not really pinned down what it was a.) originally molded with  or b.) what the actual car used.

Hoping the Moby Mavericks BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH the bubble of JoHan pricing so the excellent pro stock bits from that era become a little more accessible.

The wheels on the Leal Duster look like they are the ones that came in the kit.  MPC used similar wheels in other kits in that time frame: the Switchers T and Deuce, the '67 Streaker 'Vette, to name a couple.
