ismaelg Posted September 9 Author Posted September 9 Hello, GASP!!!! 😲 John, are you suggesting to remove the mirror mountings for a cleaner window line???? Well, Great minds think alike!!!! Stay tuned for my idea on the mirrors. Testarossa anyone? Thanks, Ismael 3
ismaelg Posted September 9 Author Posted September 9 Hello, It certainly does! I originally thought of mounting the mirrors up high like a Testarossa... But I don't think they look right. Having them been a small manual mirror, maybe. But I want the convenience of a modern power/heated mirror. I think a more conventional location looks better on this car, somewhere around this area, or maybe even slightly lower. What do you think? Thanks, Ismael 5
Big Messer Posted September 9 Posted September 9 (edited) I find these mirrors somewhat bulky. I searched and found some more querying "door mounted rear view mirrors". But being a concept car, who would prevent you to use cameras?. Edited September 9 by Big Messer better english 1
NOBLNG Posted September 9 Posted September 9 The roof is too narrow to mount those mirrors up high. They look out of place there in my opinion. 1

dino246gt Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I like the idea of cameras for mirrors. Here's how they look inside, although this is a central driver, simple little screens, easy to scratch build for the cameras. And here's how they look outside, also simple to scratch build. I love what you're doing to the Atlantic! 1
Big John Posted September 9 Posted September 9 (edited) Lower is definitely better, perhaps some indy car mirrors from the 90s. Actually I like the 1976 Ferrari F1 mirrors. Edited September 9 by Big John additional info
ismaelg Posted September 10 Author Posted September 10 Hello, Tried multiple mirrors. Here are some of them. Honestly, been a big car, a small mirror doesn't work. At the end, the kit's mirror looks the best to me. Now I need to decide a final location. Thanks, Ismael 2
ismaelg Posted September 28 Author Posted September 28 Hello, First burst of color just to see where are we. Do you see any imperfections here? 'Cause I do! 😉 Thanks, Ismael 6
ismaelg Posted Thursday at 03:55 AM Author Posted Thursday at 03:55 AM Hello, Sorry for been away so long. Very busy at work and I was out of the country for a few weeks. There has been significant progress to this project. This will be one of the last updates before finishing it. The two tone interior is done. The dash detail was hopeless so I installed a vertical touchscreen to hide it. Added turn signal lever, seatbelts, buckles and receivers. Original idea was black to hide it, but I think it looks good now. Hard to see but there is graphite definition trim (piping) all over the interior. Corvette C6 custom instruments. Of course there had to be a Corvette connection! Rear glass tinted blue. Tried the front as well but did not like it. Kit's one piece tail light did not cooperate and was discarded. After making A LOT of them, I finally settled for a 3 piece sandwich of red translucent thin plastic. Test fitting Ohh yeah! the body? Well, can I stop polishing now? My elbow kind of hurts... Thanks, Ismael 7
