rattlehead71 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Wow. Awesome looking 'Stude. Color is great and the simple mods are spot-on. Love a bullet nose.
Clay Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 My wife isnt a fan of the wheels. She said it doesnt fit the car. She is a Stude fan as well. But me I am loving it. Hey, you can like custom and stock right?
E St. Kruiser50 Posted June 3, 2009 Author Posted June 3, 2009 (edited) you can like custom and stock right? I think that fit's all of us - (I like your new avatar) Edited June 3, 2009 by Treehugger Dave

E St. Kruiser50 Posted June 12, 2009 Author Posted June 12, 2009 (edited) Wow. That's flippin' incredible! Thanks Chuck You had to go back a ways to dig this out. Surprised me, seeing the Ol' Girl "POP UP" here. Workin' on about a dozen different builds right now, and they're all at near or close to being in the same state of completion. Several are painted now, and several ready for paint, and two more I want to start so badly It's killin'me - MAN THIS HOBBY IS FUN Edited June 12, 2009 by Treehugger Dave
E St. Kruiser50 Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 (edited) Well' been gettin' other stuff done, so will work on this and the '29 Auburn Cabin Boat-tail. This one will most likely get a two-tone tan/cream leather 4 bucket seat interior, and custom drive-line - maybe a baby dodge hemi from the Ala Kart kit <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> . Anyway, here's some shots as she stands now. I'm going to start adding the chrome pieces back on next, as this is a beautiful car with all the little chrome bits in place, and it's fun to do this part <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Edited August 8, 2010 by Treehugger Dave
remingtonbox Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Cool! What is the story on the B400 in the background? I was just contemplating building one of those the other day...

LOT'S OF FUN <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> The whole window area was scratch-built, and the body and fenders were lengthened, in the cowl area. The top was scratch-built, and the interior is custom with lot's of detailing. The color is Duplicolor "Tangerine Flake", with creme and tan used for contrast on different body pieces, and a fourth color - white - for the interior - I LOVE COLOR <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Edited August 8, 2010 by Treehugger Dave

E St. Kruiser50 Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 (edited) THANKS EVERYONE <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Started adding more of the stock beautiful chrome, and in my head the image of what this should look like started to change. Found a set of nice "White's" and then scrounged up this nice new "Wire's", and they fit together perfect with no alterations <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> - I LOVE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> . Anyway I slipped them underneath, and instantly liked what I saw. Just mocked up right now. The front end will be raised a bit to go with the look, but still slightly lower than the rear. WHAT DO YOU GUY'S THINK <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> ??? Edited August 8, 2010 by Treehugger Dave
horsepower Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I liked the "other" look better, to me this one has that "Donald Duck" look to it, kinda like the car in the old carton that starred him. But that's just my opinion, & you know how they are, everyone's got one.
Sixties Sam Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I like it, Dave! Old Studes have a cool factor that's hard to beat! I would definitely go cruising in that car! The wheels are just right!
Jon Cole Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Yeah! Those wheels / tires work! Hope this project sails!
Harry P. Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Dave, I like the wide whites. Very old school classy...
E St. Kruiser50 Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 (edited) Thanks everyone <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> . Door panels were way too plain, so I decided to "ART DECO" them with a few strips to add a little "PERSONALITY. Dash is installed, and the door panels assembled and are mocked up in the body to see what she looks like. Here's the latest Edited August 8, 2010 by Treehugger Dave
Harry P. Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Ummm... why is the dash gray??? Is it still in primer or is that the final color? Cuz if it is, you made a mistake!
E St. Kruiser50 Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 (edited) Ummm... why is the dash gray??? Is it still in primer or is that the final color? Cuz if it is, you made a mistake! Back in the early 50's, auto manufacturers used all kinds of colors inside and out.''Member back in the 60' when the dash was black no matter what color the interior was? The carpet will most likely be black, along with the tan interior and gray dash. Some of the high-end 20's and 30's cars did the same thing. (I may change it to tan if I get enough comments about not liking ther gray ). Glad you like the door panels Harry . Edited November 29, 2009 by Treehugger Dave
