Jim B Posted Sunday at 01:34 PM Posted Sunday at 01:34 PM I started this kit a bit ago And I'm coming up on starting to do some of the decals. (Sorry for the fuzzy pic.) I have figured out where all of the decals go except #10. There is no reference to them anywhere in the instructions, nor can I find anything like them in actual cars in photos online. Since there are two, maybe they go somewhere on the doors? Headrests? Floor mats, maybe? No idea. Any suggestions?
espo Posted Sunday at 05:23 PM Posted Sunday at 05:23 PM Two possibilities for the #10 decals. I have noticed in a few kits lately that some duplicate decals for certain trim items are being included, or maybe one for the rear of the vehicle.
Jim B Posted Sunday at 06:24 PM Author Posted Sunday at 06:24 PM @espo It's possible, but I've never seen a logo like that on the outside of the vehicle. @stitchdup According to the instructions, Decal #13 is for the steering wheel (that itty-bitty one by the gages). The mystery continues!

For an early 1980s AMT kit, the fit & detail are pretty good. (Can't believe I just wrote that!) Some odd things, like a hole in the fan pully for the engine fan, but no pin on the fan. I'm actually kind of enjoying this one, which is saying a lot for an AMT kit. It's no Tamiya, but it'll look good on the shelf. I just wish AMT had left the rear louvers & spoiler in the kit. NOBLNG Posted Sunday at 07:58 PM Posted Sunday at 07:58 PM I googled it a number of ways and this is the closest image I could find.
rattle can man Posted Sunday at 09:32 PM Posted Sunday at 09:32 PM Steering wheel gets my vote. What about the door cards? Left over from a Euro/ Asian market/ custom steering wheel variant?
NOBLNG Posted Sunday at 11:15 PM Posted Sunday at 11:15 PM According to “google AI” they belong on the doors near the front fenders, but….”check the instructions”.🙄 I haven’t seen them on any pics I’ve googled.
Jim B Posted Sunday at 11:22 PM Author Posted Sunday at 11:22 PM (edited) Door badges? It's possible, I guess. I've never seen them there either. Strange. No idea what AMT was thinking. Wonder if they're roof pillar emblems? Edited Monday at 12:27 AM by Jim B
