Six Posted Friday at 11:09 PM Posted Friday at 11:09 PM I don't always do a wip, I just might with this one. I'm starting with Revell's 1930 Model A Coupe. I have 3D printed parts from MCV Products such as...bomber seats, steering wheel, brass knuckle shifter, and a bad boy Boss 429 with fuel injection and a top loader 4 speed trans. I'm in for a bunch of hacking things coz that top loader is HUGE! On the seats...whatcha think? Pads or no pads on 'em?? I just started with it, Ace-Garageguy helped me out with some photos of a suicide front suspension for this ride...thanks man!!! 😁 I have printed tires and wheels...I don't remember who I got them from... either MCV, or mean machine models. Anyway, here's a few photos to start...😳🥴😁 13
FoMoCo66 Posted Friday at 11:47 PM Posted Friday at 11:47 PM Cool man, I would definitely suggest going with the padding. 1
meechum68 Posted Saturday at 03:37 AM Posted Saturday at 03:37 AM This is gonna be a good one!! I have that same kit, and had considered something wild, watching for more inspiration!!
johnyrotten Posted Saturday at 08:02 AM Posted Saturday at 08:02 AM Awesome mock up, I'd go with the padded seats, or add a chamfer to the holes to better resemble dimple die holes, that's just me. Looking forward to the progress on this one. 2
NOBLNG Posted Saturday at 01:03 PM Posted Saturday at 01:03 PM Nice plan. I am slowly getting started on mine so I will definitely follow along!😎 1
customline Posted Saturday at 01:27 PM Posted Saturday at 01:27 PM I like the idea of using a suicide front end. That works really well for a "rat rod". It's pretty much a requirement if you want it scraping the asphalt. Also I think thin pads on the seats is a good idea. Those holes are going to print red circles on your butt if you don't. Looks like fun, I'm jumping on.🙃 1
dino246gt Posted Saturday at 02:18 PM Posted Saturday at 02:18 PM Looks like a great project, I'll be watching, sitting on my "padded" seat! 1
Six Posted Sunday at 12:20 AM Author Posted Sunday at 12:20 AM You guys are funny! Thank you! Small update...I started the suicide front end...what a pain, I've never built one...also got the rear down a bit too... it's a slow process! Yes, I will use the seat pads, I don't want sore red circles on my butt! 🤣😂🥴 3
customline Posted Sunday at 04:48 PM Posted Sunday at 04:48 PM Maybe round off the perch at the top front corners and add u-bolt detail? It doesn't need to be fancy. 2

Got it down to where I want the ride height, messing with the front suspension...also, I gotta raise the motor mounts coz the trans is WAY too close to the ground! I did put together some RB Motion coil overs for the rear 3
customline Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Derrick, you may want to check the angle of the chassis and the angle of the body bottom. It looks awkward. Notching the firewall at the frame rails should help get the body more in tune with the frame. The coil-overs are awesome.

I see what you mean... it's just laying on there right now... it's just taped together right now... I still have to monkey with final forms...yeah, those shocks are pretty cool! Thanks for the kudos!!! 😁
