Hotrodical customs Posted Saturday at 09:28 PM Posted Saturday at 09:28 PM I know I saw it I really didn’t remember where. I’ve checked model round up & there’s nothing.
Rob Hall Posted Saturday at 09:49 PM Posted Saturday at 09:49 PM (edited) Sounds like maybe the Revell '99 Silverado..most recently reissued in 2023. It's the only extended cab Silverado kit I know of (released in stock versions and modified versions). It doesn't have a cowl hood, but I've seen resin ones on eBay. Box art of the 2023 reissue: Scalemates has pics of the previous issue box art here: https://www.scalemates.com/search.php?fkSECTION[]=Kits&q=revell+99+chevy Edited Saturday at 09:49 PM by Rob Hall 1
Lownslow Posted Sunday at 08:53 AM Posted Sunday at 08:53 AM I made a cowl hood file for it so chances are thats what you may have recently seen
Tabbysdaddy Posted Sunday at 03:39 PM Posted Sunday at 03:39 PM I think he means the OBS. I don't have one but I can simulate it with parts I have.

Well, he also said cowl induction hood which that kit doesn't have. Wouldn't be the first time someone got the kit manufacturer wrong. But I guess we'll see when he replies.

Hmmm...the only one I can recall that came with a cowl hood is an obscure AMT custom dually snap kit that's never been reissued in the custom form... 1

Yes, that's the one I was talking about. That's where my hood came from.

I’m retry sure it was revel & not AMT. I’m thinking/praying it had a cowl hood. Thanks & happy building to all of my build buddies!
SSNJim Posted yesterday at 01:10 AM Posted yesterday at 01:10 AM This one may have a cowl induction hood - it's difficult to tell from the box art. I do have the kit but it's been stashed away for years and I don't remember. The hood is different than the stock one, so I'm not sure it will work with a stock truck grill.

I belive it is the same hood as the later reissue below which does have a "raised hood wit a reversed scoop, not a cowl hood per say since it ends before the end of the hood. Here is the above hood IRL. STD hood 1 1
