Technics Posted Tuesday at 10:26 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:26 AM (edited) Model - Blasphemi 1955 Chevy Gasser - A Roadkill Motor Trend Inspired Build - Monogram 1:24 An intimidating project as it was the second model I "cut" into first being the Lancia Stratos with the GP Modelling transkit. Modifications - Exterior Trim removed Plenty sanding, trimming, and hacking throughout Clamshell created by fusing hood to fenders and cutting it out Firewall from Styrene ( A first to scratch build something ) Stance quite a lot of work to get it to sit the way it does Hemi Motor and Radiator from Ghostman 3D Parts fused to stock transmission Pros Probably my most difficult project this far, even if its less detailed then others. Really happy with overall feeling, the roof finish, the soot, tire texture, the stance. First time creating a stencil via a cricut plotter and making a mask for the side. Weird quirk that worked out nicely - tennis balls from cotton swabs. Cons Could be significantly more detailed wiring, plumbing , etc. Could have a more shaded and varied body finish. Some trim remains Not perfect fit clamshell Build Thread - Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/scale_technics Edited Tuesday at 10:31 AM by Technics 2
Zippi Posted Tuesday at 11:29 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:29 AM Great looking build of Mike Finnegan's famous 55 Chevy Gasser Blasphemi. 1
M W Elky Posted Tuesday at 07:13 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:13 PM The tennis balls just make it whatever color paint you used they look like the real thing
ybsluos Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Really nice workmanship on the bodywork and firewall! Keep up the great scratch building. You are on your way to being a force to be reckoned with! Very accurate depiction of Finnegan’s car. -Mark 1
Mattilacken Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Came out great! Looks just as cool as Mikes 1:1! What’s the box for? 1
Technics Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago (edited) @Mattilacken Storage and transport! I can´t look at my finished projects I have no display of any kind. Tired seeing it, only see mistakes and things I could have done instead, etc. ( I have a problem ) Open it and enjoy with a coffee every 12 months @ybsluos @PappyD340 @M W Elky @Zippi @ChrisR Thanks everyone!
