PatW Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) In the post! Odd for me, anyway, I normally go for planes with floats and propellers! Edited September 29 by PatW
bisc63 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Early jets put the fun in funky! Wasn't there an experimental German early jet with a similar profile? There's something familiar in the shape of this one. Looking forward to your build! 1

There's something familiar in the shape of this one. Looking forward to your build! That is a Yak-3 aircraft fitted with a Jumo 004 engine from the Messerschmitt Me-262 Russ. You can see the similarity of the air intake on a photo of a 262:
PatW Posted October 7 Author Posted October 7 (edited) Here we are with two during the build, one without the canopy and one with it test fitted. Tomorrow perhaps a bit of paint! After building the undercarriage! Edited October 7 by PatW 1
PatW Posted October 13 Author Posted October 13 I've found wing end drop tanks on the sprue, so will be fitting those!
PatW Posted October 14 Author Posted October 14 (edited) With drop tanks.. With decals.. Edited October 14 by PatW 1
bisc63 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Very cool! How is the fit/finish of the Amodel kits? You're making this one look mighty nice. I like that they seem to favor odd subjects overlooked by most.
PatW Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 (edited) Thanks Rusty. The AModel kits fit together very well. For me without a dedicated modelling area at present after moving house they are very easy to complete! Edited October 16 by PatW 1
