rattle can man Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I have one of theold human-powered push-sweepers (just a rotary brush with a tray) that I use to recover parts from the jaws of the carpet monster. It works about 75% of the time. The down side is sifting through the dust and debris from the pan. 2
Straightliner59 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I've always heard that an old nylon, over the hose end works. I keep forgetting to buy a pair, every time I'm at the store. I can't imagine why they never make the shopping list!😂 1
Rbray47 Posted Monday at 10:51 PM Posted Monday at 10:51 PM My carpet is gray. Everything seems to blend in, especially the shadowy areas under my desk. On Thursday, the carpet is getting ripped out and laminate flooring going in its place. Modern problems require modern solutions. 1
Hi-Po Posted Wednesday at 05:18 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:18 PM Two methods that I have used in the past are: Nylon stocking over the hose end of a vacuum cleaner and a lint roller with disposable sheets. Another method is to lay a LED flashlight (on its highest setting) on the floor and move it around the work area, looking for a shadow from the missing part. 1
Mike 1017 Posted Thursday at 01:53 PM Posted Thursday at 01:53 PM I got rid of the carpet that I used under my work bench. The parts dropped do bounce around on the concrete floor, but I can also hear them when they do hit the floor.Â

stitchdup Posted Thursday at 04:35 PM Posted Thursday at 04:35 PM somebody a while ago shred their idea of wearing an apron and pinning the bottom edge to the bench while you work.Â
rattle can man Posted Thursday at 04:38 PM Author Posted Thursday at 04:38 PM They do bounce. Somtimes into the same dimension as missing socks. 2

I watch them fall, see them hit the floor and deflect. I saw which way it headed. No sweat, right? More like no part!🙄 2
