junkyardjeff Posted Friday at 01:44 AM Posted Friday at 01:44 AM This was built when I got it with no engine and suspension and using parts I had in stock rebuilt it as stock as I could. 41 Plymouth engine and the rear end is from a early 60s Galaxie and a unknown IFS most likely GM and bumpers and brackets from a Revell 37 Ford. Will add door handles if I find some. 11 1
sidcharles Posted Friday at 09:31 AM Posted Friday at 09:31 AM yeah. every one doesn't need to be a gasser. 3
Zippi Posted Friday at 11:18 AM Posted Friday at 11:18 AM Looks Super nice there Jeff. Just don't see a lot of stock 41 Willy's. 2
nyguy Posted Friday at 02:25 PM Posted Friday at 02:25 PM Really nice build. Almost impossible to find an image of a stock Willys. Well Done !!!!! 1
junkyardjeff Posted Friday at 09:42 PM Author Posted Friday at 09:42 PM Next one will be more accurate, this one was assembled with parts I had. Will do some research on a body that has more appropriate rear wheel openings and frame, looking like it will take a few kits to get this done. I think this one is a Revell and the only one I have seen with a normal opening hood. 1
satterwhite78 Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM Of all my years on this forum and on Randy Ayers NASCAR forum, yours is the 1st stock version I have ever seen or know of. Looks Fantastic! Revell has two version of the 41 Willys Americana. One has the standard open hood with some of the chrome hood/ body trim ( early version?) and the other flipped front end. So glad to see a stock version & glad to see you did it. 1
Ragtop Man Posted yesterday at 02:52 AM Posted yesterday at 02:52 AM I love stuff like this - what chassis did you end up using? Saw one a long time ago using a cut up Corvette chassis plate (prolly MPC) tapered to fit the Willys body. Flat six is fun, and I don't care where ya' from. 1
espo Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Great looking paint finish and color. Very resourceful use of left-over spare parts. Like the engine and stance. 1
