tim boyd Posted Friday at 03:32 AM Posted Friday at 03:32 AM (edited) This model was built, if memory serves, for an early Street Rodder magazine Modeler's Corner column comparing it with the AMT '27T Touring kit pictured earlier here in this "Tub posting series". It was built from the Monogram "Early Iron" series kit of their 1930 Ford Phaeton. New wheels were sourced, along with a Halibrand Quick Change for the rear. The paint was, again from memory, an early 1970s GM metallic Turquoise/Teal. I also vaguely recall this model perhaps having been inspired by a similar model David Dale built earlier in his own modeling career..... So....just where are we? How about 7 down,,,3 to go....so stay tuned! Thx for checking it out....TIM Edited Friday at 03:33 AM by tim boyd 13
Bainford Posted Friday at 01:56 PM Posted Friday at 01:56 PM I quite like this one, Tim. An all round nice street rod, exuding a solid early-mid 70s style. The colours are perfect.
Mr. Metallic Posted Friday at 04:05 PM Posted Friday at 04:05 PM Still looks great all these years later. Love the color.
bisc63 Posted yesterday at 08:14 AM Posted yesterday at 08:14 AM Another beauty! As a child of the 70s, I remember so many magazine covers having this feel. Well done, as usual!
FoMoCo66 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Nice little tub there Tim! Those tires definitely encased this model in its era, at least there not as bad as the old amt 4x4s.

Then there's the rear tires that stick out from the fenders....very 1960's/1970's, that! Cheers....TB 1
