LennyB Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Bill, I really like the direction this is going. Inspires me to call on the squirrels to rummage through my parts box and see what they can find. 1

Len I’m sure there are already some in your house, you just need to get distracted looking for a part and bam they throw a bunch of stuff on your bench! I think this will be an annual thing for me, see how far I can get it before the year is over. 2
NOBLNG Posted Sunday at 03:36 PM Posted Sunday at 03:36 PM Excellent progress so far Bil. I haven’t built a T-bucket yet, but I have chunks in the parts box I think. This thread could just make me go digging. 1

Thank you Greg, I’d be interested in seeing what your creative grey matter could come up with! 1
Bullybeef Posted Tuesday at 06:02 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 06:02 PM Made a little progress since the last update. Painted the frame all black and have been kinda agonizing over the chrome from the original issue pontiac tempest engine, it’s in really good shape for its age (as am I lol) but it has some flaws. It needs some touchups, but the patina of the chrome is no match for the modern chrome paints so I may have to just suck it up and leave it alone. Did some digging in boxes to come up with a better rear section and thank you Atlantis for making the old parts pack parts so readily available again. I now have a nice QC with spring to dangle under the rear. A little more fettling is required so I can get this mocked up on all four wheels and then maybe it will be time for paint. 4
Bullybeef Posted yesterday at 01:49 PM Author Posted yesterday at 01:49 PM Added some positive locating points to the frame for the rear buggy spring and the front hairpins, rear radius rods. They are a little crude but will suffice, some trimming and sanding will occur once the cement sets and they have hardened to the chassis. Meanwhile some parts are drying after some detail painting. Hoping to have it on four wheels soonish, thanks for looking. 2
Bainford Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Cool project, Bil. Really digging the power plant. 1
Bullybeef Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago Exciting things happened today! Not a heck of a lot of progress, but having it up on all fours is a great feeling.
